I don’t believe in ‘quick-fix’ therapy!
I have supported many people in a variety of roles throughout my life, who found themselves ‘stuck’ after trying various ways of overcoming their struggles. I quickly noticed how people have a handle on what is bringing distress into their lives, and why these difficulties have arisen, yet, knowledge of these problems ≠ change.
There is so much advice and information out there about what and how you should navigate emotional and psychological difficulties…
‘Set more boundaries, prioritise self-care, keep a thought log, reframe your thoughts!’…
Whilst this advice might be helpful for you…
Practical tips cannot reason away deep emotional pain/suffering!
Here, we go beyond the surface level, and instead of ‘intellectualising’ and ‘masking’ the difficulties we’re confronted with, we work through them, to explore the ‘root cause’, in a safe and confidential space.
I believe therapy is a relational and collaborative space, with you at the centre. You are the expert during sessions, as it is you who knows what it is like being you. Our work will focus on healing the past and developing new dimensions of personal insight and clarity so you can feel unburdened to move toward a meaningful and fulfilled life. This approach promotes leaving the place in which you find yourself stuck.
